Tree farming and felling counts as specified work for both Working Holiday visas, but only in the right areas: Regional Australia for the 417, and Northern Australia for the 462.

What counts as tree farming and felling

  • planting or tending trees in a plantation or forest that are intended to be felled
  • felling trees in a plantation or forest
  • transporting felled trees or parts of trees to a mill or processing site

Must be carried out in Regional Australia.

462 Work and Holiday

Must be carried out in Northern Australia.
